Privacy and analytics
What this static site records, why limited analytics are used and how to opt out.
Site analytics
Analytics on this device
Analytics are enabled.
Buryat Global uses Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people open, how they move between them and what kind of device they are on. Nothing here is used for advertising: advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation are denied, and analytics data is not shared with advertising networks.
While analytics are on, this is what gets stored:
- Google Analytics cookies (
_gaand_ga_…) holding a random number for this browser, kept for up to two years. - The address of the page you opened and the link that brought you to it.
- An approximate region, worked out by Google from your network address.
- A rough device and browser type — phone, tablet or desktop.
Analytics are optional statistical processing, and you can object at any time on this device. Switching them off stores your choice in this browser, expires the analytics cookies this site can reach, and stops the Google Analytics script from loading on the pages you open next.
The choice itself is kept in this browser as a small marker — a bg-ga-optout cookie and a matching entry in local storage. It is not linked to an account and does not follow you to another browser or device. If you clear this site's data, the marker goes with it and analytics start again, so you would need to switch them off once more.
